Chapter 1.19: The Forgotten One

Making it official.

From: Leila
We're moving in together!

Leila brings Jesse home to meet her family while she packs her bags.
"Yo, I seen you at the theater once. That bass thing is dope!"

Jesse sets the grill on fire while Leila floods the porch trying to do one last load of laundry. These two are made for each other.

Varinia is displeased on this most auspicious day.

Probably because Jesse insisted on spending the night because, "I'm too tired to move your stuff right now, babe."
Varinia has a feeling that Jesse is going to weigh her daughter down. She hopes she's wrong.

Varinia whisks everyone, Jesse included, off to the plot of land she bought in secret several months ago.

This what she had been working so hard for. This is what she had been waiting for. The little house that she has built sits on a small section of land by the abandoned railroad tracks. It may not be the best neighborhood or the nicest house but they are out of the swamp. This is the type of house, she feels, that her daughters can be proud of.

"Here it is," Varinia announces. "Our new home!"

"It's so beautiful!" Selma sobs.
Varinia christens the house with music. Amira wonders if there's a place for her to put that computer she's been hoarding.
Jesse drags Leila home before she can get too comfortable at her mother's new place.

"But I'm going to miss the old house. We all grew up there. My easel is there!"
"The easel is in the living room," Varinia reassures.

Selma only got to spend one night in the new house before her adult birthday.

"I'm not ready!"

Everyone cheers, "You did it!"

Claude appears to talk to his daughter now that she's a young adult. He didn't get a chance with Leila who ran off with a boy she barely knows.
"You'll do great things in life, Selma. Just don't let your fears control you."
It's what he's always told her and it has never been more suitable than now.

She's ready to face the world, she thinks.

"You're the best, mom. You really are."
Hearing this is music to Varinia's ears.

Can't forget Deli.

"Maeve? I know you said you would let Leila move in but, well, can I move in instead? I promise to help you with the baby and the house."

    1. Thank you! I'm terrible at building houses. I used the floorplan feature. Poor Varinia had to work so hard to save up the money to buy the land and build the house. Then other sims kept moving into the house before I could get Varinia and the family moved in. So annoying!

    Lol! That was great.

Hopefully things work out with those two.

Favorite twin, huh? That's evil! (Not that I haven't done it!)
